Answers to our most commonly asked questions when ordering a cake.

Do you have any cakes I can pick up today?: All of our cakes are made to order and our quickest turn around time is 48 hours. We do have a pastry case inside Farm Runners Station in downtown Hotchkiss which is always stocked with a variety of sweets and pastries including cupcakes for your last minute needs.


How far in advance should I place a custom cake order?: We ask that custom orders be placed at least 10 days in advance, but recommend securing your order on our calendar as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. We are a small team, with a limited amount of bookings each week. We do our best to accommodate all of the custom orders we receive, but once our calendar is fully booked we stop taking orders. (Details can always be finalized closer to the date of your event.)


How much do your cakes cost?: The final cost of our cakes vary based on size selection, flavor selection, and level of design detail. Please visit our menu page for detailed pricing information.


Can I taste the cake before I place an order?: We offer custom tasting boxes on orders of $300 or more. We also have a variety of cupcakes available in our pastry case at Farm Runners every Thursday - Saturday for a quick, easy way to sample our cake before ordering. 


What are your most popular flavor combinations?: Our 3 most ordered flavors are:

  1. Champagne + Raspberries

  2. Chocolate Coffee Caramel

  3. The Birthday Classic

    All of these options are available for order online. Visit our online shop to see all the options available.


Do you offer gluten free/dairy free/allergy friendly cakes?: All of our cake flavors have a gluten free option, however we can not guarantee that our items don't contain traces of gluten as we work from a kitchen that handles large amounts of wheat flour. We do not currently offer any dairy free or vegan options, sorry! 


Do you use fondant?: We do not cover any of our cakes in fondant. All cakes are iced in Swiss Meringue Buttercream.


Do you deliver?:  Yes! Depending on your location and our availability we are happy to deliver. Please make a note of the address in your order inquiry and we can confirm availability and include a quote on your invoice.
